All of us have people in our lives counting on us to embody sainthood. Each Sunday we are reminded that we are part of the communion of saints, and that we are part of God’s story. But what does that mean? Whenever we come across stories of the saints, it seems like they see something differently than we do. Something that enables them to not just keep it together, not just behave themselves, but transform everything around them. What is it? And can we learn to see it too?
Yes, we can. And the key is in the stories themselves.
In this class, we’ll explore the shared vision that connects one incredible story of sainthood to another. We will learn how to participate in that vision, and carry on an ancient legacy in our own lives and families.
By the end of this course, you’ll:
1. Know stories of saints whose names you know, and whose stories you don’t
2. Understand better how to participate in God’s story (without a to-do list)
3. View tomorrow with a confidence in your role in God’s next chapter for us
Sessions
This class was originally taught as a webinar series for Holy Trinity Anglican Church in winter 2021. It includes a little bit of Anglican-specific material but is mostly ecumenical.
